Media

Over the last year, especially, I created several banners and other goodies, some of which wound up becoming fairly widespread through the Internet. Probably the most prolific creation was the “I Support the Pope!” banners, which I still find on many blogs as I cruise through the Catholic blogosphere, and it’s nice to think that my humble contribution has made a lasting impression on some people.

At any rate, since there are a lot of inbound links to the old site that are probably misdirecting, I’ve put together this page as a compilation of my various outpourings of what little creative talent I am able to leverage on a day-to-day basis. Feel free to grab any or all of these creations for your personal use. It goes without saying, of course, that all graphics and/or other multimedia content is (c) 2006-2007 Kenneth Kully, all rights reserved, blah, blah-de-blah.

But don’t worry so much about that. Focus instead on this word: “enjoy!” And don’t forget…some of these images are availabe in the store as well, on a variety of different articles of clothing, and on a few other items as well!

Support Bill C-21

This is a comprehensive bill introduced by the Stephen Harper government that would repeal section 67 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which prevents the Canadian Human Rights Act from being applied to First Nations people in some circumstances. Accompanying this bill, MP rick Dykstra has tabled a motion “that the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights examine and make recommendations with respect to the CHRC, including its mandate, operations, and interpretation and application of provisions relating to section 13 of the CHRA.”

This is something each and every freespeecher should have been hoping for, and should support in earnest. To that end…banners!

As with the “Stop the HRC” banners below, the text box below each image provides the HTML image reference encapsulated in a link to the “Contact your MP (by Postal Code)” page of the Government of Canada website.

And as usual, there are a couple different image sizes.

Was?

(That’s German, by the way…it’s pronounced “Vas?”)

Kathy Shaidle remarked thusly:

Ezra Levant (who happens to be Jewish) is hauled before the Alberta HRC, accused by a radical Muslim of “Islamophobia” for printing the “Mohammed” cartoons. (Don’t miss Levant’s stirring opening statement to the kangaroo court…)

Mark Steyn (who half the world thinks is Jewish, but isn’t) also faces HRC charges for “Islamophobia”, brought by Muslims.

(Steyn, Michael Coren and — judging by my inbox, me — are regularly mistaken for Jews by people who don’t like us. I’m still convinced the three of us and those similarly honored should start wearing little yellow question marks on our lapels, maybe with the German word for “Huh?” written on them in black Teutonic lettering…)

Okay, Kathy…here you go!

The rest of my readers are likewise welcome to grab the two GIF-formatted images below for use on their blogs (especially if any comment trolls or angry email correspondents have attempted to give rebuttal to your statements by accusing you of being Jewish). As usual, there are two sizes of image, one obviously more suited to blog sidebars than the other. The backgrounds of the GIFs are formatted to be transparent.

Stop the HRC

I created these in response to Kathy Shaidle’s call for conservative bloggers (a company I count myself a member of) to stand up and oppose the Canadian Human Rights Commission, which is a self-confessed agency of censorship. All my best blog art seems to in some way connect with the blogger formerly known as Relapsed Catholic.

The smaller banners are 80 pixels wide, intended for use in a blog sidebar. The larger banners are intended to be used in blog/site headers, and may also be effective as forum profile signatures. I especially urge the reader to display these banners on his or her site, because this is an important issue — the HRC, by its continued existence, endangers the fundamental freedoms of all Canadians, regardless of political or religious creed.

I Support the Pope!

I Support the Pope

I Support the Pope

I created these in response to the outpouring of misplaced Muslim rage concerning the Pope’s comments made in Germany in the fall of 2006. Basically, he quoted a Byzantine emperor who remarked that the only new and novel things that Mohammed brought to this world were evil and inhuman (corrolary: those parts of Muhammed’s preaching that reflect the holy truth of God are neither new nor novel, and are already a part of the revelation God gave to Christians and Jews as well…but are, at their core, true). Pretty much everyone took this the wrong way, a nun got murdered…or was it a priest this time? I lose track…

…anyhow, these banners came out of that. The smaller banner is intended for use in a sidebar. The somewhat larger banner, which includes excerpted text from the Pope’s speech (words that should ring true to anyone who claims to follow God), is intended as a header image more than anything, whether at the top of your blog’s content pane or the top of individual posts.

Defend Canada

Defend Canada

Defend Canada

These were animated images I created after the arrests in Toronto of the Islamic terror cell that had plotted, among other things, to abduct and behead Prime Minister Stephen Harper. I’d always privately predicted that the next Conservative PM would face an assasination plot, if not an actual attempt, and in a way this news was less shocking than it probably should have been.

At any rate, PM Harper had some stirring words to say in the immediate aftermath of the arrests, and an excerpt from his speech is rendered here. Once again, as with the Pope banners, there are sidebar and content/post header sizes available.

Free Piglet

Piglet: London

Free Piglet!

Free Piglet!

These are somewhat older banners, created back in 2005 (if memory serves) when the image of Piglet was banned from offices in the U.K. because pigs are considered unclean by (you guessed it) Muslims, and evidently the image of Piglet on a coffee mug or a box of Kleenex is considered offensive by Muslim office workers.

This, incidentally, happened at about the same time as the adminstrators of a U.K. prison decided to ban the wearing of small St. George’s Cross pins by their staff (which were, evidently, part of some sort of cancer fundraiser, or something similar), because the image of the red cross on white might unduly remind Muslim prisoners of the Crusades and might, thus, offend them.

The second two above banners are a response to that. As with the Pope banners, they are sidebar and post/header sized.

Backdoor Sharia

Backdoor Sharia

One of the earliest times I ever got linked from another blog was when I coined (or, at least, I think I coined) the term “backdoor sharia”. This banner graphic more or less resulted from that. It’s a bit more crudely done than some of my other works (it looks nice from here, but in the larger versions things sometimes don’t line up as well), but it’s still available on t-shirts and other items, and is also available in a variety of desktop-sized resolutions: 800×600, 1024×768, and 1280×1024
