Out of control photographer (that’s me)
July 28, 2008
So over the weekend, my beautiful wife was a bridesmaid at the wedding of her good friend, Katherine Lee, to another good friend of ours, John Williams. You really couldn’t ask to meet a nicer couple than these two — they’re mature, fun, faithful people whom we were blessed to meet through St. Joe’s College.
Since Grace was seated at the head table, I was kind of soloing it for the evening (although I was in good company all the same; my table was the “boyfriends/husbands of the bridal party” table, and also where the MCs sat)…and I took to my favourite passtime in such circumstances: taking copious numbers of pictures.
The strange thing was, I remember taking a lot of photos, but I also remember spending much of my time socializing. In spite of that, I still somehow managed to come away with over 550 photos from this weekend (which admittedly included the rehearsal and accompanying dinner on Friday, the wedding and reception proper on Saturday, and the gift opening on Sunday). I’ve only just started editing them, but I’ve already seen a couple that are definite candidates for the Pic of the Day.
Memo to self: I should really sit down and work out my “shot density” for the weekend, for comparison against similarly large sprees.
