Adult stem cells FTW!

It seems that, in addition to being useful in treating spinal cord injuries, harvested from the nasal passages of donors may help those suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

And, unlike which were put through similar trials, the adult stem cells were not tumour-forming.

Just a reminder, really: adult stem cells work; embryonic stem cells don’t seem to work at all. So why all the fuss about allowing more and further research into embryonic stem cells, exactly? Why not devote our energies to that which demonstrably works, rather than that which has demonstrably, and consistently, failed to work?
