Ah, chalk on a sidewalk — such a classic expression of youthfulness, isn’t it, O Reader?
The Lensbaby is what really makes this photo work — the blurred fringes of the picture add some visual punch to it that the odd angle alone doesn’t quite provide.
Edit-wise, this shot received nothing atypical in terms of changes — I applied the usual calibration/Punch preset, did a tiny bit of noise reduction, and applied some sharpening. What makes this shot work has everything to do with composition and glass, and nothing at all to do with post-production.
