Idiot teacher attempts to slam Christians…
…and the smug-looking twit winds up telling a lie to his students. His claim was, basically, that Christians are more prone to committing crimes (and thus being imprisoned) than are…er…other groups. Of course, it turns out that when one dissects the numbers a little further, atheists are 3.84 times more likely to be imprisoned than Christians are.
But hey, Mr. Teacher — don’t let the facts get in the way of your tirade!
And yes, I know that the teacher is trying to claim, in his defence, that he was just trying to “inspire his students to think.” That’s all well and good, but it’s also not a valid defence. As Rachel Lucas notes, the same states that the teacher was referencing in order to get his statistics on criminality are states that have majority-black populations. In other words, based on his own logic, the teacher could have claimed that blacks are more likely to commit rape and murder.
Think he’d still have a job if he’d tried to say that?
