Stephane Dion keeps on digging
Now he wants Harper’s role in how the Prime Minister’s Office handled the file concerning the Mulroney-Schreiber affair subjected to scrutiny as well.
He seems to forget that none of the Airbus scandal played out during the time in which the current Conservative government has been in power. He also seems to forget that some of the Airbus scandal played out during the time when he, himself — Stephane Dion — was a member of the governing party in Canada.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I think an inquiry into the Airbus scandal is a great thing indeed. I just fail to understand Mr. Dion’s enthusiam for one, because it can only end with even more egg being applied both to his face personally and the face of the Liberal Party of Canada in general. The Liberals really do not need to be associated with another scandal right now.
Or maybe they do…I suppose it might help keep them from being re-elected to power, which I support.
