Jumping the shark
I think, with his suggestion that climate change could be rectified via the construction of giant pipes in the ocean, James Lovelock has just declared officially that the climate change alarmists have done a Happy Days.
Okay, okay, it’s an interesting theory. But then, this is the man behind the Gaia hypothesis (the rather novel, if somewhat absurd, assertion that the Earth itself is a living entity), so I suppose we have to consider the possibility that most of what he says probably falls under the technical definition of “interesting” anyhow.
