I’ve Moved!

November 20, 2008

So I’m sure that most people have noticed that the site has been offline for a few days. There’s a reason for that, which I will get to shortly. But first, let me just say this:

I AM NO LONGER BLOGGING HERE

In fact, I am blogging at a new site I have just finished setting up: kennethhynek.net. A full explanation for the reasons behind the move can be found here.

That said, this is not the end of . My wife has expressed interest in taking over blogging at this domain, and I am working to make sure that she gets set up here as soon as possible.

Also, my profound apologies for the modification to the site face; the move was not as seamless as I would have hoped, and many of the image files for this theme, and in the gallery, were corrupted during the course of their evacuation from my previous web host’s servers. Until such time as I have repaired them, I’ve put a clean-looking template in place of the previous one.

Update: for the purposes of further traffic shaping, new posts from kennethhynek.net will be excerpted below. Full articles can be read at the new blog.

Time Off

May 7, 2007

I’m going to be taking the next week off of blogging, for a variety of reasons (not all of which have to do with a certain bet I took). So here’s hoping what few readers I have left will humour me in this and not wander off instead to a place from which they decide not to return. I’ll still be responding to comments, though, if people decide to leave them.

I’ve got about two weeks worth of Pics of the Day in the buffer, so that feature of the site will remain active. So if anyone is reading the site to make sure I’m sticking to the terms of the bet: Pics of the Day don’t count; they’re already in the system, pre-set to publish at about 11:30 every night.

Anyhow, see you all in a week or so! In the meantime, why not celebrate the election of Nicholas Sarkozy to the presidency of France? This could be just the turn of fortunes that the country needs to reverse its otherwise seemingly interminable transformation into Europe’s first Islamic republic. At the very least, one hopes the count of burning Citroens will diminish.

See you all in a week!
