Pic of the Day #180
I had to get up really early to get this shot.
The Mixed Chorus had a gig this morning, an ensemble performance for the Global Television morning show (we started singing at 6:45 AM). It’s actually a pretty important event for us; it usually bolsters the ticket sales for our Spring Concert (buy tickets here!).
Between cuts — we’d do a song, then wait ten minutes for the next segment that would feature us — I snuck upstairs and grabbed a couple pictures of our assistant conductor rehearsing through a song with us. Because that’s what I do, it seems.
This was an ISO 400 shot — which in this lighting meant that I had to rely on the stabilizer — so it didn’t require much in the way of noise reduction, and I think I even managed a little sharpening as well. I had to tone down the highlights in Lightroom, and then to a fairly decent extent (the television area lighting that the Global crew had brought in was causing some unavoidable glow on foreheads). A bit of shadow darkening rounded out the shot.
