I’ve Moved!

So I’m sure that most people have noticed that the site has been offline for a few days. There’s a reason for that, which I will get to shortly. But first, let me just say this:

That said, this is not the end of Time Immortal. My wife Grace has expressed interest in taking over blogging at this domain, and I am working to make sure that she gets set up here as soon as possible.
Also, my profound apologies for the modification to the site face; the move was not as seamless as I would have hoped, and many of the image files for this theme, and in the gallery, were corrupted during the course of their evacuation from my previous web host’s servers. Until such time as I have repaired them, I’ve put a clean-looking template in place of the previous one.

I’ve got a gallery now!

I’ve spent a few days configuring it now, so it’s time to go public with it: there’s a new gallery up at the site here. I’m using the Coppermine Photo Gallery, because my web host recently re-instituted its policy of running PHP in safe mode for some reason, and Coppermine has built-in workarounds (G2 doesn’t, for those who are curious about such things).
At present, there’s not much there, although you’ll find an update listing of those Pics of the Day that I’ve been so behind on posting to the site. I’ll work on that over the weekend…I’ve got a fair load of time to myself, so in addition to cleaning the apartment I’ll be sure to post a bunch of photos. And yes, I know that I’m totally behind on them — to the tune of a month now. (Hopefully that admission will absolve me from the risk of getting any comments reminding me that it has been X days since the last Pic of the Day was posted).
Anyhow, there’s also a little sidebar module (as you can doubtless see) that will display random images from the gallery (with titles). And shortly there will be a concrete link to the gallery itself on the sidebar. Clicking on the images should bring up a larger version of the image in a pop-up — this module is pretty slick.
Anyhow, there’s going to be a bit more experimentation tonight, so if things hiccup for a bit, I apologize. In the meantime, as they say, enjoy!
